Talking about lens for Sony A6400, the ones you want to keep an eye out on are the lenses with Optical SteadyShot. This is because the A6400 doesn’t have in-body, image stabilization, so using lenses that have Optical SteadyShot will help smooth out your handheld footage. So, in this blog, I will share my top 3 recommended lenses with you.
1. Sony – E 10-18 F4
For an uber ultra-wide-angle lens that will fit everything into the frame when you’re vlogging, then I recommend the 10-18 F4. I recommend this to vloggers.
For those of you who are on a budget, the kit lens, the 16-50 that comes with this A6400 bundle is wide enough for vlogging.
2. Zeiss 16-70 F4
If you’re looking for the best lens for a travel vlog, then I recommend the Zeiss 16-70 F4. At 16mm this lens is wide enough for you to vlog with, and you can also zoom all the way to 70 to get nice cinematic and portrait shots.
You do not have to worry about the Sony 18-135 kit lens or the 18-105 F4 G lens. This is because unless you have a giraffe neck as an arm, 18mm, in my opinion, isn’t wide enough.
3. Sony SEL35F18 35mm f/1.8 Prime Fixed Lens
This is my favorite B roll lens. The 1.8 on this lens gives you that creamy background look, plus it is also good for low light. Use slow motion for this lens and you’re instantly a cinematic travel vlogger.
I didn’t recommend any Sigma lens because they do not have any Optical SteadyShot built in the. So, when you use them with the Sony A6400, you’ll see a lot of jittery, shaky footage when shooting.
This sums it up for my top 3 lenses for my recommended lenses for Sony A6400. Let me know in the comment sections below if you have any questions or contributions.
